History

Past: Established in 1977, New Pathways has evolved significantly since then. What began as a small group home for boys in southwest Baltimore City, has grown to serve disconnected young men and women throughout the greater Baltimore metropolitan region and beyond.

Present: During the intervening years, New Pathways has expanded its range of programs and services to include not only apartment-based independent living services for youth aging out of foster care, but also case management, career development, life skills training, counseling and mental health services, educational services, parenting classes, community outreach programs, and others.

Today, we serve more than 350 young adults a year. Since opening our doors, we’ve empowered over 2,000 young people to tap into their full potential and make their way in the world.

Future: Our vision is to become the recognized leader in Maryland for helping disconnected youth connect to success. We want to provide them with the tools and creative solutions essential to a safer, healthier, productive, and self-sustaining life. We’re well on our way. And with your help, we know we can get there.
